Nose: Roast red peppers, barbecued pineapple and peaches, tobacco, polished antique treen snuffboxes, hoisin sauce, plum sauce, roast duck and a velvet smoking jacket.
Palate: Spiced duck, library lined with antique books, velvet riding jacket, leather crop on an oak mantelpiece, pomanders made of oranges pierced with cloves and star anise.
Finish: Roast lamb with meaty gravy and a spiced chutney, cardamom, cloves and star anise on an oak platter, plus a hint of vanilla at the end of the long and lingering finish.
